Spliceroni detects the beat, cuts your footage on the downbeats, and hands you a whole batch of finished edits — each one fully yours to tweak, re-roll, or export. No timeline wrangling. No uploads. No subscription.
macOS 14+ · Apple silicon & Intel · Your footage never leaves your MacHow it works
Spliceroni generates a batch of different edits from the same footage — like a photographer's contact sheet, but for music videos. Don't love one? Re-roll it.
Point it at a folder — phone clips, camera files, ProRes masters. Everything imports into one self-contained project.
Spliceroni finds the beat grid automatically and locks every cut to the downbeats. Pick a cut pace from chill to frantic.
Get five, ten, twenty complete edits at once — each with its own rhythm and color look. Play, tweak, export, done.
Features
Every generated sequence is real, editable data — trim cuts, swap clips, change transitions, add title cards. Nothing is baked in until you export.
Four cutting styles — Energetic, Calm, Chronological, Random — with smart duplicate-avoidance so every sequence feels distinct.
Automatic beat detection builds a grid from your track; cuts land on the downbeats, frame-accurately.
Per-clip grading, LUTs, Ken Burns, speed ramps, vignette, grain — with one-click random looks per sequence for instant variety.
Frame-accurate cross-dissolves and wipes on a true A/B track layout. What you preview is exactly what exports.
H.264, HEVC, or ProRes in vertical, square, and 4:5 presets — plus batch "Export All" for posting a series.
Drop in opening titles and lower-third cards that ride the same timeline as your cuts.
Plays well with pros
When a generated edit is 90% there and you want a pro finish, hand the whole timeline — cuts, in/out points, transitions, speed, audio — to your NLE of choice. Spliceroni speaks four interchange dialects.

FAQ
Yes. Spliceroni v1 is completely free on the Mac App Store — every feature on this page, no watermarks, no trial timer, no account. Future new pro features may be paid, but nothing you get today will ever be taken away.
No. If you can pick a folder and a song, you can make a music video. And if you do edit — Spliceroni becomes a first-assembly machine that hands its timelines straight to Premiere, Final Cut, Avid, or Resolve.
MP4, MOV, M4V, AVI, MXF, and ProRes. (MKV and WebM aren't supported because macOS can't read them natively — convert those to MP4 first.)
Everything. Sequences are fully editable data — trim any cut, reorder or swap clips, change transitions and color looks, add titles. Or just hit Generate again for a fresh batch; it takes about a second.
Never. All processing happens on your Mac. Your project is a plain folder on your drive, and the app is sandboxed by the Mac App Store.
