Spliceroni ("the app") is a macOS application for generating and exporting video sequences. This policy explains what data the app does and does not collect. We designed Spliceroni to keep your media private.
Your video, audio, and project files stay on your device
Spliceroni processes your footage, music, and project files entirely on your Mac. Your media is never uploaded to us or to any third party. Importing, generating, previewing, and exporting all happen locally. The app accesses only the folders and files you explicitly choose.
Diagnostics and usage analytics
To understand how the app is used and to fix crashes, Spliceroni collects a small amount of anonymous diagnostic and usage data. This data is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you across other apps or websites.
- Usage data — anonymous product-interaction events such as "app launched", "sequence generated", or "export completed", used to understand which features are used. We do not collect file names, file paths, or the contents of your media.
- Crash & performance data — crash reports and performance metrics collected via Apple's MetricKit and our analytics provider, used to diagnose and fix problems.
Analytics and crash reporting are provided by Mixpanel and Apple's MetricKit. Mixpanel processes anonymous event data on our behalf. See Mixpanel's privacy policy for details on their processing.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect your name, email, or contact information.
- We do not collect or upload your video, audio, or project files.
- We do not use data for advertising or cross-app tracking.
- We do not sell your data.
Children's privacy
Spliceroni is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
