Terms of Use
Last updated: July 6, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Spliceroni ("the app"), developed by Realm 8 LLC ("we", "us", "our") and distributed through the Mac App Store. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (which include a standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement), we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Spliceroni on Apple-branded devices you own or control, for your own video and content-creation purposes.
Your content
You retain all rights to the video, audio, and project files you import into and create with Spliceroni. We do not claim any ownership over your footage, music, or generated sequences, and — as described in our Privacy Policy — we never see or receive them, since all processing happens on your Mac.
You're responsible for having the rights to any footage and music you use, including any tracks you sync your sequences to and any generated edits you export, publish, or distribute.
Free version and future paid features
Spliceroni v1 is free with no account required. Future versions may introduce optional paid features (for example, additional generation strategies, effect packs, or captions) offered as an in-app purchase or subscription through the Mac App Store. Any feature that is free today will not be taken away or placed behind a paywall retroactively.
Acceptable use
- Don't use the app to create or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you don't have the rights to.
- Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute the app outside the Mac App Store.
- Don't use the app in a way that violates Apple's App Store guidelines or applicable law.
No warranty
Spliceroni is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. You're responsible for keeping independent backups of your source footage and project files.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Realm 8 LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data, footage, or projects.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
